A flexible seal and coating to prevent moisture, oils etc from forming on electrical and industrial equipment. Also prevents arcing. Protectol has also been designed to protect air-cooled condensers, evaporator coils and other finned heating and cooling coils from the elements. Once applied, Protectol will protect the coil from adverse conditions and extend the coils service life.
USES
- Used on all electrical windings, inside of motor frames, commutator parts, separator coils etc
- An arc resisting coating for controller shafts, switch bases and other electrical insulation
- Seals oil lines, airlines, gaskets, threaded pipes, crankcase flanges and battery terminals
- Prevents corrosion on aluminium and all other metal surfaces
- Protects and prevents corrosion on HVAC coils
METHOD OF USE
- All surfaces to be coated should be free of moisture, oil and grease
- Clean surfaces with an alkaline degreaser (Recoil or Recoil Eco) or equivalent which will leave no residue, to give the best results
- When using an airline sprayer, hold nozzle approx. 20 to 30 cm from surface to be sprayed
- While spraying move nozzle back and forth quickly to deposit an even finish. May also be applied with a paint brush
- Leave to dry for at least 30 minutes
- Coverage: 5 – 10 sq m per Litre
IMPORTANT
PROTECTOL. Before applying the product, make sure that the surfaces being applied to are free of grease, oil & soil. Clean surfaces with an alkaline degreaser (Recoil or Recoil Eco) or equivalent which will leave no residue, to give the best results. The manufacturer will not be held responsible, if this degreasing practice is not adhered to.
